Don’t be stupid like us, call ahead! We visited on a whim, had to wait. Very well worth the wait!
I used to come for the Sunday all you can eat ribs. First rack was terrific, and the all you can eat portions were just not the same quality. That’ and there seemed to be n way to get the ribs coming as I needed them.
I figured the all you can eat fish would be the same. It was WAY better!
My favorite fish fry place before tonight was the Stockholm Inn.
It was a sad day when I saw that the entire building Stockholm Inn occupies, was re-roofed last summer by non-Union, out of state workers. Once a business goes BAD like this, it’s a long while before I am so hungry that I can overlook such things. I am a Union Carpenter. The job took most of the Summer. That’s a lot of money going out of town, when there are qualified roofers right here in Rockford that are not working, and they still patronize restaurants!
The fish fry tonight was a cut above, and much tastier than other places I have eaten fish at. The COD was a bit small, but the re-fills came out fast and hot!
The next time I have a craving for fish, I am coming back to the Backyard Grill!
I am going to need to bring friends, because a friend never keeps a great thing for himself!
Oh, the price was 10.50 for the all you can eat Friday Fish Fry! it’s been a while since it’s been 2011 too, so I understand, and will still return with friends!
